  • The sensitivity ratio is the sensitivity linear ratio obtained from the nominal sensitivity of the Sony CCD ICX445AQA. A larger value indicates a higher sensitivity.

Camera System Structure

The main part of the Woodpecker1 series smart camera is Sensor, FPGA and CPU.

Sensor The Woodpecker1 series camera feature high-end global shutter CCD/CMOS for capturing high-speed moving objects.
FPGA The ISP (Image Signal Preprocessing) engine with independent intellectual property is embedded in the FPGA for image interpolation,
enhancement, noise reduction, white balance and color saturation adjustment.The FPGA also controls CCD, UART, IO, FLASH, etc.
CPU The Woodpecker1 series smart camera feature the Intel® ATOMTM CPU E3845 (Bay Trail Processor),
which is highly computationally capable and capable of running a variety of machine vision applications,
running machine vision software developed by the user or by any third party.

• Rich Resources

- Provide a mature SDK, including all hard drivers. The user can call the corresponding API function to realize image acquisition, image preprocessing, exposure control, flash control, IO control and other functions.

- You can use the IPP library provided by INTEL®. It is a library that is still expanding, and it is compatible with many fields and has good compatibility on Windows and Linux platforms. It is also a highly optimized set of functions for multimedia processing (image processing, video processing, etc.), data processing and communication (including parallel processing optimization, optimization of feature processors and other optimizations), supporting multi-core processors.

- The Woodpecker1 series smart camera is an open, easy-to-develop platform that supports all third-party software, including OpenCV, HALCON, LabVIEW, Matlab, etc.


Users of LED source can set parameters as follows:

Aperture LED drive current: 1-330mA
Output pulse width: 0-30000us
Glitter frequency: 50-160HZ
Advance output: 0-100us
Relative trig in delay time:
Sync/Strobe: The output is about 70μs delayed relative to trig in signal
Capture mode: The output is about 30μs delayed relative to trig in signal

Serial Port
There are 2 available serial ports of Woodpecker1.
The serial port names in Windows are COM5 and COM6.
COM1 reserves the serial port for the camera, which is dedicated for ROSEEK internal debugging.
